Running Accomplishments:

I have been running for the last 10+ years. I have run 6 marathons, 3 ultra marathon, 1 relay ultra marathon and numerous local shorter races. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to be able to keep logging in miles consistently and plan on running two or three marathons a year. I would also love to run the Redwoods (Avenue of the Giants Marathon.)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run the Boston Marathon and while I am in Boston take in a Red sox game.Maybe run some more ultra's.Run a 2:50 marathon. Ryan and I are kicking around the idea of running a marathon in every state in the next few years. You got to have some goals.

Personal:

I have lived in Eastern Idaho for most of my life. I currently live in Iona with my wife and two daughters who are 3 and 1.

I used today as a recovery run. Yesterdays run took a lot out of my legs. Ran a nice easy pace and felt pretty good. Today felt colder then yesterday. I think with the fog and humidity in the air it felt colder then it was.

Felt really good today. I took two days off to rest and get over a head cold I have not been able to kick. The weather was nice and I was able to find my pace early and settle in. Ran in my new Brooks Raveena's they seem to be pretty solid shoes.

Ended up getting home from training at work earlier then I thought I would. I met up with a friend who is training for his first race so we ran a few miles together. Not a bad finish to the day.

Good run today on the treadmill at work. Felt really good I think that is due to having yesterday off. I had the intention of running but the weather turned crazy and I caved. I'm still feeling guilty. My treadmill at home is still down but the parts have arrived so it should be good to go about the time the weather cooperates.

Ran at work on the treadmill again. Felt really good, ran at marathon pace for five miles and ran at 6:27 pace for the other five. Wanted to run outside. This afternoon the weather was awesome.

Not as warm today but a good run overall. Ran a few miles with a friend so that helped the time fly. Felt really good. Signed up today for my first marathon of the year so that should help keep me focused.

Perfect day for running. The wind was calm and the temps were mild. Felt pretty good for most of the run. Started to feel a little fatigue as I was finishing up. Think I'm recovering from yesterdays run.

First day of the year where I was able to run in shorts and a t shirt. I thought yesterdays weather was good. Perfect spring run. I don't want to get my hopes up but I hope the snow is gone for good. Felt really good on the run but my guts are hurting now that I'm finished. I think it will be a long night at work.

Got myself out the door and started running into the wind. It was blowing about 25 miles an hour and holding steady. Wasn't as bad when I could run where it was sheltered. On my way up Sunnyside hill I seen a friend as crazy as I was out running we decided to run up to the top and then turn around. Not only was it windier and colder on top we were climbing a pretty good hill. Good run when we finally made it off the hill. Finished running my loop for an even 20 mile run. Not super fast but a good effort.

Great day to run. Took it pretty easy today. A little sore from yesterdays run. I think the down hill with the hard winds really took it out of me. Felt good overall just tight in the hamstrings.

Ran on the treadmill when I got home from work. Treadmill seems to be working a lot better with the new monitor. Warmed up for a mile and then ran my marathon pace for nine miles. Cooled down for about .3 miles and stretched out. Feel really good and starting to get excited for the marathon coming up.

Got up early and ran the Teton Running red egg Easter hunt on Sunnyside with my wife. Ended up being a lot of fun and was a good end to the weekly mileage. Had the intention of going out later in the evening but I was feeling pretty fatigued from the week.
