Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to be able to keep logging in miles consistently and plan on running two or three marathons a year. I would also love to run the Redwoods (Avenue of the Giants Marathon.)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run the Boston Marathon and while I am in Boston take in a Red sox game.Maybe run some more ultra's.Run a 2:50 marathon. Ryan and I are kicking around the idea of running a marathon in every state in the next few years. You got to have some goals.

Had a bit of a surprise when I drove my 20 mile loop to drop off some water and found it was actually 23 miles. I guess that makes me feel a bit faster. Great day to run the weather was perfect. It was clear when I hit the top of the foothills and I could see the tetons. Idaho Falls was a bit on the hazy side. Great day to see some wildlife. Deer were out and a bald eagle was sitting on a telephone pole watching me. Awesome day to be out. Ran the route in reverse today. The climbs were alot steeper running it this way. Ready for my new shoes to get here.

Colder today. It was overcast with a breeze. Legs felt a bit sore for the first two miles but they loosened up nicely. Ran in a new pair of Saucony today. Found out my Mizuno's I ordered are on back order and they have no idea when they will get in. And I was in need of some shoes in a bad way.

Ran pick ups on the hills. Felt like there were a lot more hills than I remember. Also I didn't pack enough water. I guess I needed more fluids when I run the hills like this. Finished feeling pretty strong. Another good day weather wise. My new shoes did pretty well but I do miss my Mizunos.

Easy miles on a nice sunny afternoon. Still hard to believe it is January. A bit stiff when I started but I loosened up after a few miles. Felt good finishing.
