I have been running for the last 10+ years. I have run 6 marathons, 3 ultra marathon, 1 relay ultra marathon and numerous local shorter races.
Short-Term Running Goals:
I would like to be able to keep logging in miles consistently and plan on running two or three marathons a year. I would also love to run the Redwoods (Avenue of the Giants Marathon.)
Long-Term Running Goals:
Run the Boston Marathon and while I am in Boston take in a Red sox game.Maybe run some more ultra's.Run a 2:50 marathon. Ryan and I are kicking around the idea of running a marathon in every state in the next few years. You got to have some goals.
Personal:
I have lived in Eastern Idaho for most of my life. I currently live in Iona with my wife and two daughters who are 3 and 1.
Seven easy treadmill miles at work. I was lucky to get these miles in. Work has been crazy. wanted to run easy and spend a little time stretching the legs out. I believe my ankle injury I had earlier was partially due to tight muscles. Felt pretty good. Ready to have a few days off and run outside.
Beautiful day to run outside. Felt amazing. It has been a while since I have felt this good out running. With the chest cold and ankle issues it seems every run was a battle. But today was a good reminder of why I love to run.
Ran this morning before the day got away from me. The weather was perfect to go out and push it. Ran a hill course I haven't ran in a while. Felt good working at holding my pace as the grade increased. Run left me feeling good and tired.
Nice easy miles in the afternoon before work. Felt pretty good overall. Not a bad day to run, a little on the windy side. Ankle is still a bit tight but I think it is healing up. Hoping to get a good run in tomorrow.
Went out this morning when I got home from work to run with a friend training for his first marathon. Was a perfect morning to run. Would have liked to run further but I was defintely feeling working the night shift. Must be getting older.
