Running Accomplishments:

I have been running for the last 10+ years. I have run 6 marathons, 3 ultra marathon, 1 relay ultra marathon and numerous local shorter races. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to be able to keep logging in miles consistently and plan on running two or three marathons a year. I would also love to run the Redwoods (Avenue of the Giants Marathon.)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run the Boston Marathon and while I am in Boston take in a Red sox game.Maybe run some more ultra's.Run a 2:50 marathon. Ryan and I are kicking around the idea of running a marathon in every state in the next few years. You got to have some goals.

Personal:

I have lived in Eastern Idaho for most of my life. I currently live in Iona with my wife and two daughters who are 3 and 1.

Ran one of my hilly routes today. Was able to hold my marathon pace through the uphill miles. Felt really good today which is a bit of a relief. I have been fighting gastrointestinal problems after my last few runs. Which was making me nervous for my marathon coming up.

Windy this afternoon. I should have ran first thing this morning when I got home from work but I was dragging. I decided to run after I got my truck washed. It's amazing how fast the wind moved in. Started out running into the wind so that helped. Felt well rested.

Had a good run with Tara this morning. It was a perfect day weather wise. I was worried about the wind but it was calm and the temps were cool. It was a lot of fun to talk running and racing.

Felt really good today. The weather was great and my legs felt strong. Ihave taken it easy this week do to my work schedule and feeling a little run down. I haven't wanted to push my luck this close to the Marathon.

A lot better day today then yesterday. The wind was barely blowing when I went out compared to 45+ mph like yesterday. Felt really good today hope I feel that good on marathon day.

Decided to go run after watching the news coverage of the tragedy in Boston. I had just got done watching the race about forty-five minutes before and was getting back from running errands when I turned on the news and saw. I'm still stunned.

Another windy day in Idaho. I headed out with the goal of breaking in some new shoes for the race. They felt really good so it shouldn't be too big of a deal to put a few more miles on them in time for the race. Saucony Mirage 3s.
